A major improvement on GRP.

Standard height 237 mm.

Cost effective custom designed risers are available for use with deep insulation to improve thermal performance.

High insulation levels.

Good internal finishes.

Most suitable for domestic or high-humidity situations.

 

GRP Rooflight KerbGRP Kerb

Standard sizes only.

Commonly used for circular units.

Supplied insulated as standard.

Often used in areas where high humidity is likely.

  

 

 

 

Metal Rooflight Kerb

 Metal Kerb (aluminium or steel)

Galvanised steel and aluminium offer extreme flexibility in terms of height, shape and angle of splay.

Can be custom made to specific sizes.

Not recommended for use in a non-insulated form.

Rarely used in domestic applications.

Can be insulated.

 

 

Ventilation
Rooflights can be used to provide ventilation, extraction of stale and the introduction of fresh air. The Stardome range provides a variety of differing systems with varying performance levels - see the table below.

Mechanical Ventilation
There are occasions when a more positive form of ventilation with a known and quantifiable air exchange performance may be required, under such circumstances a power fan can be fitted to the rooflight unit.
