Smoke Vent AOV Windows

Smoke vent windows are installed in buildings as part of fire protection mesaures. They are special openings in the roof which are designed to vent heat and smoke out in the event of a fire. The vents are triggered to open automatically, usually by a smoke detector, or manually triggered when someone sounds the alarm. AOV simply stands for automatic opening vent.

Smoke vents can be supplied in two systems for AOV contol. Either as AOV single zone or AOV multi Zone. These panels can be triggered by smoke detectors or a manual call point which will activate the vents to open or close.
